Russian aircraft carrier set to arrive in Syria A Russian aircraft carrier as well as a number of Russian navy ships will arrive in Syria's territorial waters in the next few days and will remain in the area for six days, Syrian newspaper Al Watan reported. When I hear Damascus, I automatically think of Isaiah 17:1. We know Damascus is going to be a ruinous heap. It sounds like something will be happening there before much longer. The IDF Navy floatilla for Yom Ha'Atzmaut (Independence day) , when it does its anual desplay up and down the coast of Israel, has been cancelled this year for security reasons, meaning, the whole fleet will be on full alert and on duty. The IDF is watching the northern border now with all seriousness. War is expected at any time. |

We have to pray for the Church in Damascus to be so very effective now, as well as for God to work powerfully to draw all people there to himself, by any means necessary; it's a race against time, a short window of opportunity. Cry out to God to move in power to seek and to save the lost, to send workers to the harvest, to open blind eyes and open deaf ears. We have a chance to snatch the lost from the hungry jaws of Hell, if we just cooperate with the Spirit of God to intercede for those about to perish. Where else can we make such a difference in the short term, for an eternal gain? Let's pray for Christians around the globe to wake up to the urgent need to pray for this great city of Damascus. God will answer our prayers and he will respond in awesome power on behalf of those walking in darkness. Jesus, please send the light and draw these people to yourself! Supernaturally empower your witnesses in Damascus to love those around them. Please set the captives free.
