Personally, I'm a super-hawk and the sabre-rattling alone would have caused Iran to be militarily destroyed already had I been Commander-in-Chief. We might poke fun at the bombastic statements of Ferret Face Ahmaweasaljihad, but no one who understands the situation takes death threats against Israel lightly. Call me crazy or whatever you will, but I would have given Iran ONE (multifaceted) warning years ago: "Get your Hezbollah and other emissaries out of Syria and anywhere else you have paid for them to be, AND CEASE AND DESIST any and all threats to any other nation, AND CEASE AND DESIST threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz, AND Remove your terrorist influences and personnel from Iraq and any other nation in which they exert influence, AND Conduct no trade with North Korea or any other nation considered an outlaw nation BY THE UNITED STATES, AND Discontinue ALL efforts at becoming a nuclear power, peaceful or otherwise, by razing all nuclear facilities and nuclear support facilities, AND Maintain at least one statue mile distance from any U.S. naval vessel. The violation of ANY OF THE ABOVE will result in a declaration of war against Iran, and a consequent inability of its government to conduct military operations, harrass Israel or any other nation, or dare to threaten in the most indirect manner the security, safety, and freedom of any people on Earth - including its own." Iran threatens pre-emptive action amid nuclear tensions http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/46461790...east_n_africa/ http://www.foxnews.com/world/2012/02...t-visit-sites/ Aside from missiles, I don't believe Iran has much ability beyond their small and easily neutralized navy to project their military power forward. They can use proxies, of course, or infiltrated agents. |

Keep Your Eyes on Syria Reuven & Mary Lou Doron “An oracle concerning Damascus: ‘See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins. The cities of Aroer will be deserted and left to flocks, which will lie down, with no one to make them afraid. The fortified city will disappear from Ephraim, and royal power from Damascus; the remnant of Aram will be like the glory of the Israelites,’ declares the LORD Almighty.” Isa 17:1-3. God judges nations. And though commentators hold different views regarding the exact meaning and timing of this “Oracle of Doom” over Damascus, the overarching prophetic message of this portion of Isaiah’s ministry conveys a clear expression of God’s wrath, judgments, and retribution over Judah’s numerous enemies. Historically, being one of the oldest cities in the world, Damascus has never experienced such utter and total devastation as Isaiah prophesies. Yet, it is within the scope of God’s sovereignty and dominion to bring about one more phase of this prophetic promise that is yet to be fulfilled. The only question is when and how, for every word of God must come to pass. As our Lord Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” Mat 24:35. The Northern Front Our friend Frank Amedia (www.touchheaven.com) recently exhorted us that while the world’s attention is on Iran with its unbridled nuclear ambitions, war mongering rhetoric, and defiant activities, the intercessors MUST also focus on Syria, Israel’s northern and aggressive neighbor. For months now, the totalitarian Syrian regime that is controlled by the Alawite minority has been under fierce domestic assault as the Syrian public is following the example of anti-government revolutions throughout the Middle East known as the “Arab Spring.” The Alawite regime responded swiftly to this civil unrest with a tough policy aimed at crushing the popular uprising by military show of strength with tanks and missiles smashing into civilian neighborhoods. Conservative estimates tell us that the Syrian population suffered thousands of casualties from the hands of its own government in recent months and weeks. There is no end in sight as the battles continue to rage from city to city, and Damascus itself, the government’s seat of power, is beginning to feel the heat. It is helpful to remember that the Alawites, or Alawis, the ruling minority sect, are not truly Muslims. This sect dates from the ninth century A.D., and though it originated from Shia Islam (the sect that dominates Iran) they believe that Ali, a relative of Muhammad, is an actual incarnation of the divinity, and worship a “trinity” of sorts which consists of Muhammad, Ali, and a freed slave. Their doctrines are ambiguous and secretive, and only males can be inducted into them through rituals and rites. Women are considered a lower class created for labor and reproduction only, and are neither taught nor permitted into the religious practices. According to historians and researchers, while the Alawis adapt to different political and religious environments like a chameleon, they reject Islam’s sacred law, the Shari’a, and permit activities forbidden by Islam such as sanitary practices, dietary restrictions, sexual customs, and religious rituals. They rarely adhere to fasting, almsgiving, or pilgrimage to Mecca which they actually consider idol worship. This strange sect has no formal prayers or places of worship, and builds no religious structures other than shrine tombs. Their rise to power in Syria is somewhat of a mystery and a “fluke of history,” and is rooted in the favor the French governors of the territory showed them after WWI. A Diversion? The Alawite’s time appears to be up now as the domestic and international pressures rise daily. Their options to suppress the unrest and avoid being lynched by the mob are diminishing with each passing day, and the Spirit of God is warning that the Syrian Alawite regime, desperately clinging to power, may resort to play its last card soon which is to attack Israel as a diversion. This option has proven itself in the past. The Arab world, divided and internally tormented by violent religious sectarianism, can always unite and come together in brief accord when the cause is to defeat the Zionist enemy! It will happen again, and Syria’s tottering regime may just be distressed enough to try and trump its internal unrest and political disintegration with the only card left, attacking Israel. Given Syria’s historic cruelty, present desperation, and military capabilities, it is very likely that they will launch a biological or chemical limited assault on Israel’s northern communities. With a relative small strike force, Syria can cause a lot of damage in Israel, shift the attention of its rebelling population to the hated Zionist enemy, and garner a lot of favor and support in the radicalized Arab world. Within hours Israel will retaliate, and Isaiah’s Oracle of Doom concerning Damascus may come to pass in its fullest meaning yet. We do not pretend to know the future, but we do honor God’s word which says, “Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. The lion has roared - who will not fear? The Sovereign LORD has spoken - who can but prophesy?” Amos 3:7-8. Keep your eyes on Syria, and watch and pray with us please. 23 Feb 12 Firestorm Forecast: 'Syria can set region ablaze' The UN is seeking to send its humanitarian chief to Syria to secure aid delivery to civilians caught-up in the fighting. The international body is also preparing to investigate the country's officials over allegations they've committed crimes against humanity. RT's correspondent in Damascus, Maria Finoshina, has been keeping across developments on the ground. Sanctions Against Iran are Not an Option The terms “effective sanctions” against Iran on the one hand and global political reality on the other hand constitute an oxymoron playing into the hands of Tehran.Effective sanctions require the full cooperation of Russia and China, two strategic rivals of the U.S., as demonstrated by their U.N. Security Council double veto of the October 2011 and February 2012 anti-Assad resolutions. Syrian death toll mounts as Russia and China reject foreign intervention Russia and China on Thursday rejected pressure to change their position on Syria after vetoing a United Nations resolution condemning the Damascus regime for its bloody crackdown on the opposition as Syrian tanks pushed into a rebel stronghold in the battered city of Homs. World leaders meet on Syria On the eve of an international meeting in Tunisia, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton agreed with top European and Arab allies that their most urgent priority is developing a “unified position that sends a strong message to the Syrian regime” of international impatience, a senior State Department official said. The conference on Friday will “challenge Assad to respond ...within days” to demands that he allow humanitarian aid to enter the country, the official said. Assad government will not fall, says Iran Syrian President Bashar Al Assad's regime will not fall and Iran stands beside it, the top foreign policy adviser to supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Thursday. "The Islamic Republic of Iran supports the Syrian government and will oppose those who act against Syria," Ali Akbar Velayati said in remarks reported by the Fars news agency. "The attempt to topple the Syrian government will not become reality and the front line of confrontation with the Zionist regime (Israel) will not disappear," he said. Vladimir Putin issues 'victory' battle-cry ahead of Russia polls Russian strongman Vladimir Putin on Thursday issued a battle-cry to tens of thousands of supporters packing Moscow's largest sports stadium as he predicted victory in next month's presidential election. Putin declared in a fiery and nationalist-tinged speech to 130,000 people in the Luzhniki stadium that Russians had victory written into their "genetic code" and would not allow foreigners to meddle in their country's affairs. Iran seeks to boost nuclear work in bunker: diplomats Iran is believed to be carrying out preparations to expand nuclear activity deep inside a mountain, diplomats say, in a further sign of defiance in the face of intensifying Western pressure to curb its sensitive uranium enrichment drive.-"I think we will see a jump in the potential state of readiness of the facility," one Vienna-based envoy said. Fordow is of particular concern for the West and Israel as Iran is shifting the most controversial aspect of its nuclear work, refining uranium to a level that takes it significantly closer to potential bomb material, to the site. ‘Iranian nuclear scientist's ultimate goal was annihilation of Israel' In what seems to belie Iran's oft-repeated assertion that its nuclear program is designed for peaceful purposes, the wife of a nuclear scientist who was assassinated last month in Tehran said that the goal of her husband's life's work was the “annihilation of Israel,” the scientist’s wife told the Iranian Fars News Agency (FNA) on Tuesday. For Zion's Sake I Will Not Keep Silent 'At present, the civilized war is standing on the brink of a third world war against extremist Islam. Many claim that the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001, marks its onset. This time, Mr. President, it is the most dangerous time in human history, it is crucial and can not be under estimated. If Iran gets its hands on nuclear weapons, things will not be any different from the situation prior to World War II had Adolf Hitler been in possession of such weapons. This time the USA does not have the luxury of time to wait and look on from the sidelines. The USA must intervene right now, and right away! Nasty, contagious norovirus is 'everywhere' now The microbial culprit, norovirus, affects one in 15 Americans every year, causing sudden vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramps that continue for a very unpleasant 24 to 48 hours, usually requiring no medical intervention. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta says about half of cases of food poisoning are caused by norovirus, which has gained infamy as the cause of outbreaks on cruise ships, college campuses, nursing homes and other gathering places. Wife Admits: Slain Iranian Nuke Scientist‘s ’Ultimate Goal Was the Annihilation of Israel’ Iran continues to insist its work is for peaceful purposes only. That claim will likely suffer a setback by an interview published Tuesday in the semi-official Fars News Agency. The wife of slain nuclear scientist Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan tells Fars her husband wholeheartedly sought Israel’s destruction. UN nuke expert: no 'way forward' with Iran Herman Nackaerts of the International Atomic Energy Agency says the talks in Tehran were inconclusive, although his mission approached the talks "in a constructive spirit." Nackaerts spoke to reporters at Vienna airport Wednesday shortly after returning from the Iranian capital. An IAEA statement published overnight already acknowledged the talks had failed. Secular sell-out: Islamist lobby directs US policy in Egypt Walid Phares, an anti-terrorism advisor to the US government, believes that Egypt’s revolt, which started as a protest by the masses, was hijacked by organized groups. Earthquake "swarm" hits the Big Island The earthquakes are located along the Ka'oiki Pali, a southeast-dipping normal fault near the boundary between Mauna Loa and Kilauea volcanoes. This area has experienced episodic seismic activity since the 6.6 Ka'oiki earthquake in 1983. Previous earthquake swarms have occurred along the Ka'oiki seismic zone in 1990, 1993, 1997, and, most recently, in February-March 2006. These swarms lasted anywhere from 1 day to several weeks, rarely exceeding magnitude-4. Franklin Graham questions Obama’s Christian beliefs, calls Santorum ‘a man of faith’ “All I know is that under Obama, President Obama, the Muslims of the world he seems to be more concerned about them than the Christians that are being murdered.” Iran court convicts Christian pastor convert to death A trial court in Iran has issued its final verdict, ordering a Christian pastor to be put to death for leaving Islam and converting to Christianity, according to sources close to the pastor and his legal team. Supporters fear Youcef Nadarkhani, a 34-year-old father of two who was arrested over two years ago on charges of apostasy, may now be executed at any time without prior warning, as death sentences in Iran may be carried out immediately or dragged out for years. Navy's new super-sub revealed Israel's "doomsday weapon" revealed? The Navy will soon begin its test-deployment of Israel's new super-submarine, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Wednesday. The report quoted various foreign newspapers as saying that the new Dolphin-Class submarine's systems will enable it to spends prolonged periods of time at sea and fire nuclear missiles. 'Israel should annex 60% of Area C' Naftali Bennett, former Yesha Council director, presented a new initiative meant to conquer the prolonged stalemate plaguing the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. Bennett explained Thursday that he met with dozens of military, political and defense experts prior to formulating what has been dubbed as the "mollification plan," adding that it is meant to be a "band-aid" – a way for Israel to maintain peace in the West Bank, while Israel both deals with international pressure as well as protects its "critical principles." Germ warfare: The creation of a lethal virus sparks a debate pitting science against security Late last year, researchers in the United States and the Netherlands announced they'd manipulated the H5N1 virus so it could be spread between mammals and through the air. It’s a global first for a virulent virus. And if the dangerous, transmissible mutation were unleashed – by accident or through malice – it could have pandemic consequences. TV hosts sent letters warning of bio terror attacks as congress members find ‘suspicious powder’ Three members of the U.S. Congress have received threatening mail containing a suspicious powder later found to be harmless and law enforcement officials on Wednesday warned that more may be coming. Another U.S. law enforcement official said letters sent to television personalities Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert threatened biological attacks on U.S. senators. New Afghanistan Koran protests leave eight dead At least another eight people have been killed, including two Nato soldiers, in violence across Afghanistan, after the burning of the Koran at a US base. Many others were injured in the protests, while armed men also attacked at least two military installations. Crowds shouting "death to Obama" have been throwing stones and setting fire to the US flag. EU to freeze millions for Hungary over deficit Hungary on Wednesday (22 February) was given less than a year to lower its public deficit or have a third of its EU subsidies slashed, amounting to €495 million. It is the first time the EU commission takes such an action. "This unprecedented step follows the commission's repeated warnings to Hungary urging it to step up its efforts to end the country's excessive government deficit, and its subsequent failure to take appropriate action," the EU executive said in a statement. 'Hamas will demand key positions in unity gov't' Hamas will demand that members of its organization fill key roles in the unity government with Fatah if it is to agree to allow Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to serve as the interim government's prime minister, Egyptian daily Al-Ahram reported on Thursday. According to the report, Hamas political bureau chief Khaled Mahsaal will present his conditions to Abbas at a meeting between the two leaders in Cairo on Thursday. |

http://theextinctionprotocol.word...idea-of-arming-syrian-opposition/ U.S. warms to the idea of arming Syrian opposition Posted on February 22, 2012 February 22, 2012 – SYRIA – The United States appeared to open the door to eventually arming Syria’s opposition, saying that if a political solution to the crisis was impossible it might have to consider other options. The comments, made by officials at both the White House and the U.S. State Department on Tuesday, marked a shift in emphasis by Washington, which so far has stressed a policy of not arming the opposition and has said little about alternatives. In Syria on Tuesday, activists said President Bashar al-Assad’s forces killed more than 60 people in attacks on villages and an artillery barrage on the restive city of Homs. The Red Cross called for daily ceasefires to allow in urgently needed aid. “We still believe that a political solution is what’s needed in Syria,” White House spokesman Jay Carney said. “We don’t want to take actions that would contribute to the further militarization of Syria, because that could take the country down a dangerous path. But we don’t rule out additional measures.” Asked if the United States was shifting its stance on arming the rebels, U.S. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said Washington did not want to see the violence increase and was concentrating on political efforts to halt the bloodshed. “That said … if we can’t get Assad to yield to the pressure that we are all bringing to bear, we may have to consider additional measures,” she said, declining to elaborate. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will meet representatives of some 70 countries in Tunis on Friday for the first “Friends of Syria” meeting to coordinate the international community’s next steps in response to the nearly year-long uprising against Assad. –Reuters NATO to intervene in Syria February 23, 2012 debka US, France, UK, Turkey, Italy prepare for military intervention in Syria USA prepares for intervention in Syria along with Paris, Rome, London and Ankara, just like Libya. Muslim Brotherhood tells followers to prepare for war against Israel - Jimmy DeYoung commentary The Moslem Brotherhood tells their followers to prepare for war against Israel so they can kill Jews February 22, 2012 Leaders and clerics in the Moslem Brotherhood are calling for their followers to prepare for war against Israel and one leading brotherhood cleric has called for killing Jews to the very last one. This is the brotherhood that has played a major role in the chaos in the Arab capitals of the Middle East. As the Moslem Brotherhood rises to power in the Middle East, Israeli leaders see this as consolidating the power of Hamas and its hold on Gaza, a real concern to the Jewish state because the Hamas charter states unequivocally that it wants to eradicate Israel. Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News With the rise of the Moslem Brotherhood and the so-called revolution in the Arab world, the endtime scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy comes much better into focus. One of the major players in the chaos spreading throughout the Arab world is the Moslem Brotherhood, an Islamist terror group that has spawned such terror organizations as Hamas and al Qaeda. The ideology of the brotherhood was made clear by one of its leading preachers based in Qatar who in one of his sermons called for Israel and the Jews to be dealt with by Allah, the Islamic god, who should kill the Jews down to the very last one. This same Moslem Brotherhood preacher in a sermon aired on Al Jazeera claimed that Adolf Hitler was sent by Allah to punish the Jewish people. The brotherhood also supports Hamas, the Islamic Jihad, and Hezbollah, all Islamic terror groups who want to eradicate this world of the Jews. The scenario being played out now in the Arab world was foretold by the ancient Jewish prophets, a message for the last days. Daniel and Ezekiel both revealed that the Arab world would come to power and move to kill the Jews, Daniel 11 and Ezekiel 38. The prophet Joel said this would happen when every Moslem would be ready to form the largest militia ever formed on the earth, Joel 2. Even the Psalmist prophet, Psalm 83 called for the Jews to be destroyed and their name be forgotten forever, Psalm 83:4. The rise to power of the Moslem Brotherhood and their impact on Middle East events is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled. http://news.prophecytoday.com/2012/0...lls-their.html |

Friday, February 24, 2012 America reaps prophetic seeds with White House behavior on Koran burnings Thousands of rioters chanting "Death to America" in Afghanistan over an apparent inadvertent burning of a few Korans by NATO security forces at the Parwan Detention Facility have left at least nine people dead, including two American soldiers. Meantime, the man who occupies the Oval Office sent a letter to Afghan President Karzai expressing "deep regret" and "sincere apologies" for the burnings, which appear to be an accident. Yet two American soldiers were murdered over the incident by an Afghan soldier, who turned his weapon on the US soldiers instead of helping them contain the protests. There was no apology issued from the Afghan government over the killings. NBC News reports General Karsten Jacobsen said there were unconfirmed reports that prisoners at the detention facility were using the Korans to pass extremist and inflammatory messages to other prisoners. Jacobsen said, however, that the person giving the burn order was unaware that Korans and other religious materials were included in "the materials marked for disposal." Meanwhile, the Taliban, with whom the White House has been currying favor as a peace partner in Afghanistan, called for a Jihad against all Westerners, issuing a statement: "They have to kill them, beat them, and capture them to give them a lesson to never dare desecrate the holy Koran again." Apparently, the White House is falling all over itself to apologize for the Koran burnings. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney sternly told reporters that the apology was appropriate: "It is wholly appropriate, given the sensitivities to this issue, the understandable sensitivities. His primary concern as Commander-in-Chief is the safety of American men and women in Afghanistan, of our military and civilian personnel there. And it was absolutely the right thing to do." Then Carney added, "And I would simply note that Secretary Panetta, Joint Chiefs Chairman Dempsey and I have all conveyed apologies on behalf of the United States for this incident." The Commander in Chief appeasing these barbarians with dozens of apologies is extremely disappointing behavior. The medieval hoards in Islamic Afghanistan riot and kill over the inadvertent burning of a book, but Americans barely raise an eyebrow when two of their finest sons are murdered because of it, and the president is the one apologizing. Galatians 6:7 says, "Be not deceived; YHVH (God) is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he reap also." This president is the harvest of the seeds of apathy, indifference, tolerance for all things evil, and disrespect for God. How big of a crop are we to sow? And what evil will beset us at the next harvest? Our economy, our moral condition, our leadership, our Christian walk are indicators. Have a Blessed and Powerful Day! Bill Wilson www.dailyjot.com |

http://theextinctionprotocol.word...e-warfare-warns-u-s-army-general/ China preparing for space warfare warns U.S. army general February 23, 2012 – SPACE - Army Lt. Gen. Ronald L. Burgess, director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, disclosed new details of China’s space weapons programs last week, including information regarding China’s anti-satellite missiles and cyber warfare capabilities. Burgess stated in little-noticed written testimony prepared for an appearance before the Senate Armed Services Committee that Beijing is developing missiles, electronic jammers, and lasers for use against satellites. Much of the space warfare activity is being carried out under the guise of China’s supposedly non-military space program, he said. “The space program, including ostensible civil projects, supports China’s growing ability to deny or degrade the space assets of potential adversaries and enhances China’s conventional military capabilities,” Burgess said. “China operates satellites for communications, navigation, earth resources, weather, and intelligence surveillance, and reconnaissance, in addition to manned space and space exploration missions,” he said. “China’s successfully tested a direct ascent anti-satellite weapon (ASAT) missile and is developing jammers and directed-energy weapons for ASAT missions,” he said. “A prerequisite for ASAT attacks, China’s ability to track and identify satellites is enhanced by technologies from China’s manned and lunar programs as well as technologies and methods developed to detect and track space debris.” China’s January 2007 anti-satellite missile test involved a modified DF-21 missile that destroyed a Chinese weather satellite. The blast created a debris field in space of some 10,000 pieces of space junk that could damage both manned and unmanned spacecraft. For the U.S. military, the successful 2007 ASAT test represented a new strategic capability for China. Analysts estimate that with as many as two-dozen ASAT missiles, China could severely disrupt U.S. military operations through attacks on satellites. –Free Beacon |
