Events And History Mapping For Future Tribulation – Part Two

what others say....
Quote:

I’ll preface my thoughts here with my questions about others comparing the church to the Israelites during the Exodus. There’ve been statements about three days of darkness and comparisons of “he who shall not be named” to a pharaoh. I’ve never subscribed to either of those theories, especially since the church isn’t Israel. Rather, I’ve tried to find comparisons of what will occur at the middle of the Tribulation with the remnant to those Israelites present at the Exodus. Mr. Goodwin, bless his heart, had that information front and center in his book. It wasn’t compared to the remnant, but the Israelite Exodus was written about in conjunction with the feast dates. And wouldn’t you know it, there’s some direct correlation to Revelation 12 in there. That was exciting for me as well. So, without further ado, I give you part two!

PART TWO

Since I’m assuming a Second Coming date on Yom Kippur, that assumption needs to start my baseline. For timeline purposes, all information going forward will be predicated on that assumption. If you don’t agree with that assumption, this timeline probably isn’t for you. But I hope it blesses you all the same

We know the Israeli remnant will be in the desert for a time, times, and half a time. In a verse further down in Revelation 12, we see that corresponds to 1260 days. What we don’t know exactly is when that 1260 days starts or ends. Let’s start with our baseline assumption of Yom Kippur 2022. According to hebcal.com, 10 Tishrei 5783 is October 5, 2022. I’d like to point out that is the same start date of the Yom Kippur War that rate from October 5 – 23, 1973. Just an interesting “coincidence”. At any rate, YK 2022 is October 5. I’m including this date as the last day of my 70th week since Daniel 9:24 states what the 70th Week’s purpose is and, in my Part One, I mentioned those purposes with regard to YK 2022. Therefore, that must not only be the date of Armageddon, but the last day of the 70th Week as well. Otherwise, it takes Daniel 9:24 out of the 70th Week. Can’t have that. So to keep Scripture intact, my baseline must extend to YK 2022 being the last day of the 70th Week. If we count back 1260 days from October 5 2022, we arrive at April 24, 2019. This is Nisan 19. It is 9ish days after Palm Sunday and 5ish days after Passover. I say “ish” because of the start and end of days we calculate it versus when the Hebrews calculate it and not knowing how it’ll be calculated going forward. So it’s a close approximate, but an approximate all the same. However, please note the 4-5 day difference between Passover and the projected start of the second 1260 day period. You may see where I’m going with it. If not, you will in a minute.

One of the questions I always had was if there was some sort of gap between the first 1260 days and the second 1260 days. And yes, I’ll also point out that my baseline concludes the first and second half of the Tribulation are equal with the Abomination of Desolation in the middle. The question was only how long that “middle of the Tribulation” period was… the time it took between the first and second halves which would be equal to the time the remnant took to flee. I’ll now suggest that is actually no concern at all and the time for the remnant to flee is irrelevant and does not extend the days of the Tribulation beyond 2520 in total, from start to finish, middle included. Here’s how I get there, and I believe Mr. Goodwin agrees in his book, God’s Final Jubilee.

Here are the Hebrew dates for the spring feasts in 2019 with their relevant information from the book:

Passover – April 19 2019
Leviticus 23:5
In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord’s passover.

From the book: “…on the 14th day of the month was Passover. They were to kill the lamb and put the blood on the door posts of the house. The blood would save the firstborn of the household. The figurative meaning is almost impossible to miss. The lamb represents Christ and His shed blood that saves us from death and hell.”

My interpretation of future events: This date will correspond with the Abomination of Desolation, awakening the Jews to the representation of Christ’s sacrifice when their temple is defiled by the one who claims to be “him”.

Unleavened Bread – April 20 2019
Leviticus 23: 6
And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

From the book: “Leaven is a type of sin. After being delivered by the blood, we are to get sin out of our lives. They had to leave Egypt in a great haste! There was no time to wait for the bread to rise, thus the unleavened bread. They ate the Passover meal in haste, with their staff in their hand ready to flee at any moment.”

My interpretation of future events: This is future date when the remnant takes flight from Jerusalem, directly following the abomination that causes desolation, as they were instructed to do in the Olivet Discourse aka Matthew 24.

Feast of Firstfruits – April 21 2019
Leviticus 23:10-11
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

From the book: “Feast of Firstfruits is always the first day of the week (Sunday) after Passover. Literally, it was a time of offering the first fruits of the harvest unto God in thanksgiving. This is during the barley harvest. It takes place during the Feast of Unleavened Bread which lasts for seven days. The children of Israel crossed the Red Sea on this very day. In the New Testament, Christ rose from the grave on this same day! Christ died on Passover on the 14th of Nisan and rose three days later on the Feast of Firstfruits, the 17th of Nisan.”

My interpretation of future events: Israel will be fleeing at this point. As did the Israelites cross the Red Sea on this date into the desert, so will the remnant cross the Allenby Bridge over the Jordan River into the Jordanian desert. This is also the day that the 2 witnesses will be resurrected, after having been killed prior to the abomination that causes desolation, just as it is the day that Christ rose from the grave. As was Pharoah’s army swallowed up by the Red Sea, I also believe there’s a correlation to the earth opening to swallow the flood satan tries to send after the remnant in Revelation 12:15-16 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

We know the witnesses lay dead in the street for 3.5 days prior to be resurrected. If my assertion that they are resurrected and brought to heaven on the same day the remnant crosses into the desert is true, that would mean we are within a day or so of the projected middle of the Tribulation period I arrived at based on an end date of YK 2022. Granted, this cannot be exact since no one knows, but it would also lend credence to the witnesses being killed the day before Passover, in front of the crowds gathered there for that day.

From the book: “After 3.5 days the two witnesses are resurrected back to heaven on the Feast of Firstfruits. This is the same day Christ rose from the dead some 2000 years earlier. I believe this is when the 144,000 Jews assembled in Jerusalem for Passover trust in the Messiah. They do so after witnessing this amazing event and believe in Christ as their Messiah.”

I’ll say that I’m not sure I agree with that statement from the book, that it would better suit the remnant and not the 144K, but that the death and resurrection of the two witnesses is quintessential to the events that lead to the beginning of the second half of the Tribulation. I would assert that the second half of the Tribulation begins on the Feast of Firstfruits, just as the abomination that causes desolation occurs on Passover. It’s possible that the AoD is offset 4-5 days from the middle of the Tribulation to give the remnant time to get to the desert.

This line of thought was a little tough to absorb at first, due to my belief that Israel’s 70th birthday, Jerusalem’s 50th year, and the Revelation 12 sign in the heavens were all pointing to 2017-18 as the middle of the Tribulation. While I can’t guess about the 50 and the 70, I can offer the suggestion that, perhaps the sign in the heavens is as the Star of Bethlehem was. The Magi did not see Jesus until He was 2-3 years old. If the Revelation 12 sign in the heavens begins in November 2016, one would have to agree it fits the 2-3 year pattern pointing to Passover 2019.

I’ll explore more about the first half of the Trib and my thoughts about the timing of the rapture in Part Three. Thanks for your patience. This part took me a little longer than anticipated to write.
