http://fox6now.com/2015/09/24/congressional-leaders-hatch-plans-to-avoid-politically-risky-government-shutdown-next-week/ I understand if the government shuts down 800K workers will be furloughed without pay. Pepople will not get government aid they need to survive. People will lose their paychecks and may not be able to support their families. That happened in 2013 when it shut for 16 days. I am wondering, and forgive me if this sounds stupid, but basic things stayed open like mail services, police were on the streets, military stayed on duty. If this one were to go on for months, say, would those services ever disband? Meaning no police, military, etc.? Or is that not covered in a shutdown? Scary to think what chaos would reign if that got to that point. It may seeming that the government seem more interested pandering over other ideas, and arguing than passing something that cuts budgets and money we don’t have to spend! They mostly all seem ready to sit and wait long as they have to (eternally) till the other side caves. What is the worst it gets? Kinda scary…
