How I got involved with 'oil in Israel' by Stan Johnson

Most blessed of sons is Asher, let him be favored by his brothers
and let him bathe his feet in oil. Deuteronomy 33:24

Israel oil
October 8, 2015 Haifa, Israel - Massive oil reserves have been located in the Israel Golan Heights, close to the Syria border. A license to drill in the area was issued in April 2013. The oil feed is close proximity to the fighting in Syria. The main site is near Katzrin, northeast of Lake Kinnaret - the Sea of Galilee. The land was captured from Syria during the 1973 Yom Kippur War - which Syria started - and still under dispute.

Afek Oil and Gas is an Israeli subsidiary of the U.S. company Genie Energy.
Investors, Dick Cheney, Jacob Rothschild, and Rupert Murdoch.
Zion Oil and Gas have sought oil there for years, based on Deuteronomy 33:24
Its not impossible Russia knows there is oil there, and THAT is why they are there.

News stories like this are why I continue to think that we are very close, even as various rapture watch dates come and go. Everything is lining up for a major confrontation between the players identified in Ezekiel 38, and it seems to be happening with increasing speed. This oil find in territory controlled by Israel but claimed by Syria is huge!

I also think it is interesting how little press attention this is getting. It’s not even on some of the alternative sites like Drudge, much less Fox or CNN. You really have to dig, even though there are major implications for the situation in the Middle East.

Silver and Gold new Stan way back when we attended the Prophecy Club Conferences held in various cities. When he talked about 'oil' back then, we all thought it was wishful thinking. :banana2: he was right; and, now he has a company there.

God is blessing Israel this is wonderful! Russia will come in with taking the spoil of oil & gas in Ezekiel 38:1-13
Israel is rich in everything. Its the land of "milk and "honey". Israel is God and God is Israel. A tiny little land so full of richness (spiritually). A place that we to as Christian Gentile's will go to. To dwell in the Lord's presence and enjoy the fruits of the spirit. Russia, (the greedy Russians) will not enjoy the place of splendor and eternity. For Russia, Its an instant gratification that will lead them to the spoils of temporary wealth in a short period of time (tribulation). They will be taken a back in the end times when their hooks are lodged into the jaw. The big fish are in for a wake up call when the final moments of Jesus's return is so apparent.

It just keeps coming. Another discovery of oil and gas offshore Israel from the coast of Ashdod in Israel.

The discoveries of the Tamar and the Leviathan were gas. Now this discovery looks to be gas and oil. The treasures under the sea.
http://jewishbusinessnews.com/2013/0...-gas-at-yam-3/

Company is called Shemen Oil & Gas. God is good. We see Israel being blessed by God! Eventually their eyes will be opened. But God is true to his word and Israel will be lifted up and be the envy of all the nations.
Yay...my oil shale discovery theory as being the hook in Russia's jaw appears to be correct! Niiiiiiiiiiiice.

lifted up and be the envy of all the nations.
Israel will be an energy giant in the M.E. At this rate they will be writing their own ticket on how they want things to go...

God is blessing Israel this is wonderful! Russia will come in with taking the spoil of oil & gas in Ezekiel 38:1-13:hug
This is Russia's only interest in the M.E., they aren't concerned about civilian deaths. They want the balance of power to fall on their side of the fence. If it would involve treaties with Israel, so be it. From listening to Amir Tsafati's speech about Israel & ME conflict, Russia has already approached Israel about a share in the new finds and been rebuffed by Bibi!

Enormous Oil Deposit Discovered In Israel As Russia Slowly Advances

ENORMOUS OIL DEPOSIT DISCOVERED IN ISRAEL AS RUSSIA SLOWLY ADVANCES
| October 7, 2015 |

A HUGE OIL DEPOSIT HAS BEEN FOUND IN THE GOLAN HEIGHTS IN ISRAEL, WITH ENOUGH RESERVES TO LAST ISRAEL FOR DECADES, ACCORDING TO THE COUNTRY’S MEDIA.

“And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.” Deuteronomy 33:24 (KJV)

Hook in their jaws: Right now as you read this, Russia, Iran and China are waging war within the nation of Syria. On the surface, it is to “defeat ISIS” and to “prevent WWIII”. But could the real reason why Russia is suddenly so concerned about “stopping the Islamic State” be a massive deposit of oil discovered in Israel and estimated to be worth in the tens of billions of dollars? When something doesn’t make sense, always follow the money. Has Russia promised to share the wealth with their new allies for their help in taking the oil from Israel?

According to the Russian Times today, the “Israeli presence in the Golan Heights is in dispute. The region is internationally recognized Syrian territory that has been occupied by Israel since the 1967 Six-Day War between Israel and several Arab states. UN Resolution 242 (1967) demands the withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from the territories occupied in the conflict. Israel disagrees with the wording of the resolution, saying the territories are disputable.”

israel-discovers-oil-golan-heights-as-russia-advances-in-syria
Russia is not concerned so much with ISIS in Syria as they are with oil in Israel. Now everything makes sense.

Reportedly, the potential production may reach billions of barrels, while Israel consumes 270,000 barrels per day. Israel currently imports up to three quarters of its oil from the semi-autonomous Kurdish region in Iraq, the Financial Times reported in August.

“We are talking about a strata which is 350 meters thick and what is important is the thickness and the porosity. On average in the world strata are 20-30 meters thick, so this is ten times as large as that, so we are talking about significant quantities. The important thing is to know the oil is in the rock and that’s what we now know,” Israel business website Globes quotes Yuval Bartov, chief geologist of Afek Oil and Gas as saying. Afek is a subsidiary of the America’s Genie Energy.

The reported discovery coincides with the civil war raging in Syria. Israel has been accused of taking advantage of the conflict. The Israeli Golan Heights also border Syrian territory controlled by anti-government rebels. Israel has reportedly provided medical aid to the rebels and has responded to rocket fire from rebel-controlled territory by striking Syrian Army positions. Israel’s explanation has been that it “holds the Syrian military responsible for all events stemming from its territory.”

Wow, and there you have it. As the other shoe drops, we now see the real reason for the excitement and activity taking place in Syria. Russia has declared themselves to be the liberator and protector of Syria, and the next step will be to advance on Israel to “reclaim” the Syrian land of the Golan Heights. Land that 12 months ago no one in the world outside of Israel cared about. The above-referenced excerpt from the Russian Times repeated uses the phrases “Israeli-occupied land to drive home their not-so-subtle message that Russia plans on coming over the Israeli border to take the Golan Heights.

The Russians are coming…to Israel.

This may make Israel's enemies and neighbors to hate them even more...and greedy to take a spoil.

Echoes of prophecy coming to pass...

Ezekiel 38:13
"Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish with all its villages will say to you, 'Have you come to capture spoil? Have you assembled your company to seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to capture great spoil?'"'

1.5 billion barrels of oil discovered near Rosh Ha'Ayin

Israeli public must wait until September to see if country is sitting on profitable oil reserve, but statement to TASE gives peek into extent of Megged reserve. Question remains: How much of it is recoverable?

Could the State of Israel be sitting on an oil reserve that can provide energy, cash flow, and international political influence? This is the question that everyone is waiting to be answered in the engineering report ordered by Givot Olam Oil, overseeing the drilling at the Megged 5 site, next to Rosh Ha'Ayin.

The final report will be submitted on September 5. However, a preliminary report was already issued to Tel Aviv Stock Exchange on the oil reserves on the site. "The amount of oil in place in Rosh Ha'Ayin plot is estimated at 1.525 billion barrels of oil."

Iran threatens oil routes

July 2, 2010 | 20 Tammuz, 5770

A US-Iran showdown loomed closer early Friday, July 2, when president Barack Obama signed into law a series of energy sanctions, the toughest yet, for arresting Iran's nuclear weapons program.
Iran's defense minister Gen. Ahmad Vahidi warned that searches of its ships or planes would have "dire consequences" for world security and the Middle East in particular.

The law drafted by Congress shuts US markets to firms that provide Iran with refined petroleum products, such as gasoline and jet fuel, invest in its energy sector, or provide financing, insurance or shipping services.
Non-US banks doing business with blacklisted Iranian entities, primarily Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps organizations, will be banned from US markets.

These measures complement and strengthen the new UN Security Council sanctions and European measures and will hit every Iranian. The oil-rich country Islamic Republic imports 40 percent of its refined oil needs because of its own inadequate refining capacity. Any investors in projects for developing this sector would be punishable under the new US law.

Earlier, Gen. Vahidi warned world powers against implementing certain UN sanctions: "As regards inspection of (Iranian) ships, there are one or two countries which pursue the issue and have made some comments about it and this indicates that these people don't pay any attention to security issues in the region and the world," said.

Tuesday, June 26, debkafile's military sources reported the arrival of the USS Nassau-LHA-4 at the head of a strike group of amphibian craft to the Gulf of Aden-Red Sea sector with 4,000 Marines aboard, including special units trained in operations behind enemy lines. Our sources disclosed that their presence caused Tehran to hold back the ships destined for breaking Israel's sea blockade of the Gaza Strip for fear they would be intercepted and searched as UN sanctions permits.

The Speaker of the Iranian parliament (Majlis) Ali Larijani and the Revolutionary Guards commander Gen. Ali Fadavi have both threatened harsh reprisals against all vessels, including American warships and oil tankers sailing through the Persian Gulf and Straits of Hormuz, for any attempts to search ships or planes carrying cargoes to Iran.

The new US law will make shipping and insurance costs for Iran's gasoline imports prohibitive. They are the first sanctions to bite really deep into Iran's economy and hit the Guards' commercial empire. Their control of refined oil imports is a major source of revenue and those profits provide funding for their operations, the foremost of which is the development and manufacture of nuclear weapons.

debkafile's Iranian sources have no doubt that Iran will not take the new penalties lying down and will strike back - possibly, in the first instance, by impeding Persian Gulf shipping carrying Saudi and Gulf oil out to the United States, Europe and the Far East, with immediate effect on world oil prices.
Interception of an Iranian ship suspected of carrying contraband energy products could well spin into a showdown.

Obama indicated that this time the United States is determined to follow through on its punitive measures against Iran. As he signed the new sanctions, he said: "There should be no doubt, the US and the international community are determined to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. The new sanctions would strike at its capacity to finance its nuclear program." He went on to say, "If Tehran persists in its course, the pressure will continue to mount and its isolation continue to deepen."

Israel, Cyprus, Turkey Gas War in Mediterranean

Cyprus Field holds 8 trillion cubic feet of gas
This has been going on the latter part of 2011 but I kept it to my threads on TURKEY and CYPRUS.
However, it appears it needs its own thread. Its all related but . . . *sigh*
Turkey seeks to pirate gas, oil rightfully belonging to Greek Cyprus and Israel by International law.

Greece military exercises with Israel, Egypt
February 12, 2015 - Greek Cyprus, Israel and possibly Egypt would begin joint exercises aimed at improving regional security. Multi-national cooperation comes amid Turkish provocations. Greek ties with Israel crucial for regional security. AMEN!

Greece plans joint military exercises with Israel, Cyprus and Egypt, amid continuing tensions between Cyprus and Turkey over oil exploration in the eastern Mediterranean. Cyprus suspended talks with Turkey, as Ankara is a bully and pirate, trying to hamper (steal) their energy search.

Nicosia has licensed exploratory drilling in its exclusive economic zone (EEZ), and is unhappy that Ankara is determined to search for oil and gas in the same area.
Turkey sends a survey ship to the waters where the drilling is taking place.
Turkey is a terrorist nation and a bully and a pirate.

Huge Oil Discovery on Golan Heights

http://www.globes.co.il/en/article-h...hts-1001071698

http://www.jewishpress.com/news/brea...ts/2015/10/07/

Doesn't Syria still believe that the Golan Heights belong to them, and they want it back? For all intents and purposes, does Russia now occupy Syria and stand for Syria's interests. An oil find that is 30 times larger than the average is MAJOR stuff! What a spoil!

This will get very interesting is Turkey starts aligning itself with Russia as well. Up until this point, there is contention between Turkey and Russia over Russia violating their air space and Turkey is pretty much threatening Russia with NATO over those violations.

Spiritual Warfare aside, look at what Obama's policies have gotten us; if not the Gog/Magog war, then maybe the start of WWIII. Saudi Arabia must be quaking right now over all of this!

Is Turkey mostly Sunni or Shiite?

:goodone: :cooool: Oil on Golan Heights? It's like throwing another molotov cocktail into this mass of confusion and violence.

Most Muslims in Turkey are Sunni. Their Twelver Shia community represents 3% of the pop, according to wiki.

So...
Iran is Shiite.
Syria is 70% Sunni, BUT Assad is Shiite - thus his relationship with Iran.
Turkey is Sunni.
Saudi Arabia is Sunni.

Iran, Turkey and Saudi Arabia each want to head the next Caliphate. Iran and Turkey appear to be more active in working toward a caliphate than the Saudis.
Putin of course is none of these. He wants his new Russian empire to control the area, especially the oil and gas areas, but also ports, and potential pipeline land.

How do we get from Turkey at odds with Iran and Russia, to Turkey aligned with them for Ezekiel 38/39? We've already seen Turkey turn away from the West and become more Islamist. The current conflict with Putin I see as more of a squabble than a separation. Of course, before Ezekiel 38/39, we have to come to a place where Israel is living without walls, at peace.

It's like we've got the puzzle almost done, but we just can't get those last few pieces into place.

With Russian & Iranian forces now engaged in combat in Syria, people are asking, “What is the War of Gog & Magog?” Here’s the answer, Part One.
In Uncategorized on October 8, 2015 at 5:58 pm

Standing in front of the famed Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey.

(Istanbul, Turkey) — With Russian and Iranian military forces now cooperating together and engaging in combat in Syria, just miles north of the border of Israel, people are asking me a lot of questions. Among them:
•Is there any significance to these developments in light of Bible prophecy?
•Do these events have anything to do with the prophecies found in Ezekiel 38 & 39?
•Are recent events setting the stage for the fulfillment of what Bible scholars call the “War of Gog & Magog” that is supposed to take place in the End of Days?

Last Friday night, I addressed the topic of Apocalyptic Islam at a conference in Toronto, looking at how Shia and Sunni extremists see the prophetic trend lines in the Middle East. On Saturday evening, I then taught through Ezekiel 38 & 39, addressing these specific questions in light of Jewish and Christian eschatology. From there, I flew to Istanbul to meet with several Arab Christian leaders on a range of matters. But sure enough, these questions certainly came up.

The short answer is this:
•It is simply too early to draw any conclusions regarding the Biblical significance of Russian and Iranian combat forces operating in an alliance in the Syrian theater, so close to the northern mountains of Israel. More would have to happen to convince me beyond the shadow of a doubt that these are prophetic events. And I urge Christians to be cautious and not jump to conclusions. Time will make things more clear.
•That said, there is cause to believe these events could be preparatory for the commencement of the “War of Gog & Magog.” We can’t rule out the possibility that prophetic events have been set in motion.
•Put another way: the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 & 39 could be decades off, or more. However, these recent events — and numerous other regional trends — do appear consistent with what would have to happen to set the stage for Ezekiel’s prophecies to come to pass, and the Church needs to consider the possibility that such prophecies could unfold sooner than many people expect.
•The central fact to remember first and foremost is this: The prophecies of Ezekiel 36 & 37 have already largely come true. That is, the geopolitical nation state of Israel has dramatically been reborn in our lifetime. Jewish people are returning to live and work in the Holy Land after centuries of exile. The Jews are rebuilding the ancient ruins and making the deserts bloom, just as the ancient prophets said they would. We are also seeing a growing number of Jewish people coming to faith in Jesus as Messiah, consistent with Ezekiel 37’s prophecy that as the nation of Israel would be physical reborn in the last days, so too God would breathe His Holy Spirit into the Jewish people and more and more of them would be spiritually reborn in the last days, as well.
•Therefore, given the fact that Ezekiel 36 & 37 have largely come true, we must ask ourselves: Isn’t it remotely possible that the prophecies of Ezekiel 38 & 39 could soon come to pass, as well?

WHAT IS THE “WAR OF GOG AND MAGOG”? Part One

For the next several days, I will lay out a point-by-point analysis of the prophecies found in Ezekiel 38 & 39. It’s too much to explain all at once. So we’ll take it piece by piece.

Today, let’s start by defining “Gog” and “Magog,” when Bible indicates this prophecy will take place, and what countries will be participating in the coalition against Israel:
1.The Hebrew Prophet Ezekiel lived in Babylon (Iraq) more than 2,500 years ago and the Lord gave him a vision of events that would take place in the future.
2.Ezekiel 38:16 specifically tells us these events will take place in the “last days” — that is in the End Times before the Messiah comes to set up His kingdom on earth.
3.Ezekiel chapters 36 and 37 set the stage for the “War of Gog and Magog” by describing that Israel will be reborn as a country in the last days, the Jewish people will come back to the Holy Land from exile all over the world, the Jewish people will rebuild the ancient ruins and make the deserts bloom again. These things have all happened, and this suggests we are getting closer to the fulfillment of the next set of prophecies.
4.Ezekiel 38:2 tells us that the war will be led be someone known as “Gog.” This is not a personal name. We’re not looking for someone named David Gog. Or Ahmed Gog. Or Dmitri Gog. Rather, “Gog” is a title, like a “Pharoah” or a “Czar.” Through the prophecy, this Gog is described as a military leader, a political leader, and a coalition builder. In Ezekiel 38:10 he is described as developing an “evil plan,” we know this is an evil man, a tyrant.
5.The Hebrew prophet gives us more clues. This “Gog” is going to be from the “land of Magog.” One has to do some historical detective work to determine what Magog is, but it is possible. Flavius Josephus, the first century Roman historian, wrote in his famous book, The Antiquities of the Jews, that the people of Magog are the people whom the Greeks called “Scythians.” This is a critical clue because we know from history that the Scythians were a people group that migrated from the Middle East northward and settled north of the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea in the region we know today as Russia and the former Soviet Republics.
6.There are other interesting clues, as well. Ezekiel 38:15 says that Gog “will come from your place out of the remote parts of the north.” Ezekiel 39:2 says Gog will come “from the remotest parts of the north” and come “against the mountains of Israel.” The country that is farthest to the north in relation to Israel is Russia.
7.Thus, we can determine that a Russian dictator will build a diplomatic and military coalition to surround and attack the State of Israel in the End Times.
8.The question then is what other countries will be part of the coalition?
9.In Ezekiel 38:5, we learn that the first ally Russia will have is “Persia.” Until 1935, of course, Persia was the legal name of the country we know today as Iran. So we know that Russia and Iran will build an alliance in the last days to attack Israel.
10.Ezekiel tells us that another country in the alliance will be what many English Bible translate as “Ethiopia.” The Hebrew word, however, is “Cush” and Cush is the upper Nile region that we now know as Sudan. While the current state of Ethiopia may also be involved in the war, the focus is really Sudan, which today, of course, is a radical Islamic Sunni state closely allied with Iran and Russia and deeply anti-Semitic and anti-Israel.
11.Next, Ezekiel says a nation called “Put” will be part of the alliance. Josephus identifies “Put” as “ancient Lybios” — the territory that today we call Libya and Algeria. Interestingly, both countries today are deeply hostile to Israel and closely allied with Russia.
12.The next country mentioned is “Gomer.” When one does the historical detective work, one learns that Gomer is what we now call Turkey. For much of the past 80 years, it didn’t make sense that Turkey would turn against Israel. Why? Because Turkey was a NATO ally, and a friend of Israel, the U.S. and the European Union. But in the last few years, the Turkish government has swung dramatically away from the West, towards Russia and Iran, and become deeply hostile towards the State of Israel.
13.The next country Ezekiel mentions is “Beth Togarmah.” This is the Turkic-speaking peoples that spread out from Turkey across the Causasus, and across Central Asia. We can’t be certain precisely which modern nation states from this area will join the anti-Israel alliance, because these are almost all Muslim countries with close links to Russia and Iran.
14.Interestingly, Egypt is not mentioned by Ezekiel as part of the Russian-Iranian alliance against Israel. This is interesting because Egypt has been such an historic enemy of Israel and the Jewish people. That said, perhaps Egypt’s non-involvement in the War of Gog and Magog could be explained by the peace treaty Egypt signed with Israel in 1979. This treaty is now in danger of unraveling, but at least for the near term Egypt is still unlikely to be in a position to strategically threaten Israel.
15.Iraq — whether under its biblical names of Babel, Babylon, Babylonia, Shinar, or Mesopotamia — isn’t mentioned in the prophecy either, yet it, too, is an historic enemy of Israel. Still, given the liberation of Iraq in 2003, the subsequent violence, and the rebuilding now going on, Iraq is not likely to be a threat to Israel in the near term.
16.Syria and Lebanon are not mentioned by named in the prophecy either. However, Ezekiel tells us repeatedly that the main military force that will be coming against Israel will be coming from the north, which means they will be coming through Lebanon and Syria.

In my next posting, I’ll explain what this coalition does and how the “War of Gog and Magog” will unfold.
