![]() Recently me & Logan went to my brother's gravesite & the Lord reminded me when the lost shell - 21st one - was spotted several days later than the military service provided. Vets don't have 21 guns salutes - they have volley's which is when 3 to 7 legion members shoot three shells each - In my brother's case 21 cartriges were spent probably using a M-16 (not a gun). The Chaplain told me days later that it would be hard to locate a lost shell and I was "lucky" to get 20 (given at the service). But with prayer and persistence my Shep-lab spotted that last cartrige. I was elated! And that was two years ago - so why was the Lord bringing this to my attention now? I sense the Lord is saying this: The 21 "GUN" Salute is a honor He is bestowing on His Miliatry who have died unto themselves and committed totally to His service! The gun salute system of the United States has changed considerably over the years. In 1842, the Presidential salute was formally established at 21 guns. In 1890, regulations designated the "national salute" as 21 guns and redesignated the traditional Independence Day salute... Today the national salute of 21 guns is fired in honor of a national flag, the sovereign or chief of state of a foreign nation, a member of a reigning royal family, and the President, ex-President and President-elect of the United States. It is also fired at noon of the day of the funeral of a President, ex-President, or President-elect. Gun salutes are also rendered to other military and civilian leaders of this and other nations. The number of guns is based on their protocol rank. These salutes are always in odd numbers. Source: Headquarters, Military DC - Internet Resource A 21-gun salute is the most commonly recognized of the customary gun salutes that are performed by the firing of cannons or artillery as a military honor. The custom stems from naval tradition, where a warship would fire its cannons harmlessly out to sea, until all ammunition was spent, to show that it was disarmed, signifying the lack of hostile intent. As naval customs evolved... Wikipedia So there - the Lord's militia/military are those who can "hold their powder" have spent all ammunition are non-hostile! They are made in Christ's Image! Nothing phases them - Their intent is to go according to command! The Captain is Jesus and they do as He does & says! They are high rankers! The Lord is ranking and honoring His people as a call to battle! Do not be discouraged your calling is High! 1 Corin. 15:36-38 ... When you sow a seed, it doesn’t come alive unless it first dies. 37 Also, what you sow is not the body that will be, but a bare seed of, say, wheat or something else; 38 but God gives it the body he intended for it; and to each kind of seed he gives its own body. We are no longer POW's according to our past - Nobody - can put you back there unless you let them! All you have been stripped & striped - can you not see the God's work in you to bring you to this place to use you to accomplish His Will on Earth! PTL Still on the Potter's Wheel - Gold!
