LOVE in New Testament Greek
At least 4 different words express 4 different types of love.

When text is translated, 'love' is replaced with substitutes that do not give full meaning of what the word actually says. I have picked up some examples to indicate what GOD/Jesus meant when using some of these words in different situations.

Words in #1 and #2 used in the bible for "love" are distinct:
phileo , the love of impulse, ardent affection and feeling . Jesus wants this love, see below.
agapao , the love of esteem, regard.

#1 phileìō more intense form than agaìpē ; means love in "affectionate regard, friendship,"
usually between equals. Strong's dict says:
have affection for, denoting personal attachment, as a matter of sentiment or feeling
#2 agaìpē (ἀγάπη agápē) means love, especially brotherly love, charity
#3 Storge means love, affection", spoken especially of parents and children
#4 Éros means love, mostly of the sexual passion
.......................................................................

Notice how these words are used in the New Testament Greek source:

When Jesus made Peter to revoke (cancel) his former denial, He used these expressions in this way, see Joh_21:15-17:

1st time "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love (agapas, esteemest) Me more than these?" Agapas sounds too cold to Peter, now burning with love; so he replies,
Peter: "Thou knowest that I love (philo) Thee."
2nd time "Simon, son of Jonah, esteemest (agapas) thou Me? "
Peter: "Yes, Lord, You know that I love (philo) You."
3rd time "Simon, son of Jonah, lovest (phileis) thou Me? " Jesus asks the phileìō - love.
Peter: "You know that I love (philo) You!"
......................................................................

Joh_3:16
God loves the world with agapaō -love: "For God so loved (agapaō) the world ..."

Joh_16:27
God loves His own with phileō - love: "for the Father Himself loves (phileō ) you..."
In Joh_16:27 phileō (φιλεìω) is used for love for the believer in Christ, His Son.
This is more intense form than agapaō ἀγαπαìω used in Joh_3:16, spoken of the world.

In Rev 3:19: "Whomsoever I love (phileìō) ", Jesus indicates what kind of love is
acceptable to Him.
.....................................................................

I long for the moment that I present you before My Father, for I will tell Him "Here she is! This is the one that I have chosen! She is worthy to be My Bride, My companion in white. She is My perfect match, the one who fulfills every desire of My heart." Oh, joy of joys! Heaven has awaited this day! Heaven has been preparing for the entrance of My glorious spouse. What excitement, what anticipation! My Bride is coming home to Me!

All is ready. Final preparations are complete; no good thing have I withheld from the one that I love. All in My house are awaiting the moment that I carry My Beloved over the threshold! She shall be escorted from her old habitation of pain, into My house, the dwelling place of eternal life. The place of eternal beauties; the place of fountains and the river of life. The place of endless love and worship together in My Father's house. For you have believed and you shall rejoice with joy unspeakable, full of glory. And I shall have for Myself, the reward of My own patience.

"Who is this that comes out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant? -- Song of Solomon 3:6

LOVE WILL PREVAIL
IT WILL NEVER END
THY GOD IS… LOVE
Oh, beloved, beloved, the time when you will step into this wonderful hour is drawing nigh, it is fast approaching. I want your head up. I want your heart prepared. Lift up your head, beloved. Enter in. Your Beloved awaits you, He awaits your entrance with open arms, arms outstretched for you to enter. Draw near, dear one, draw near into My outstretched arms of love.Posted Image

Our relationship with Jesus and when we engage people in conversation or relationship, it should be just like flowing water. Water flows downhill and naturally finds its natural course. When you tell people to reply, ask them to, beg them to, demand them to, pester them to, you end up with a forced relationship. People can only go so far in such a place, before they cry uncle and give up. It takes 2 to have a relationship, not one that is pulling and tugging and doing all the work to keep something going.

When you apply pressure it is the same thing as control. Controlling people is not agape love. God does not demand love or relationship.

◄ 1 Corinthians 14:26 ►
What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.
