Isaiah 3:3-5 King James Version (KJV)
3 The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.
4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.

Isaiah 3:3-5 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

3 The captain of fifty and the honorable man,
The counselor and the expert artisan,
And the skillful enchanter.
4 And I will make mere lads their princes,
And capricious children will rule over them,
5 And the people will be oppressed,
Each one by another, and each one by his neighbor;
The youth will storm against the elder
And the inferior against the honorable.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

3 This is the role of one man, often times a role of leadership has many hats, its best to let Jesus lead us to these roles but they are often found without seeking Him but only thru Him can they truly be done to the best. This is referring to the Lord’s army so very much could be a reference to the Lord Jesus and we then could be the honorable men as Christians He has saved thru grace. The world often listens to the wrong people.

4 We are made thru Christ coheirs of heaven. We are made royalty in glory by Him. This is also a direct reference to the people of Israel being overtaken and being captive under the reign of other kings that weren’t there own.

5 They were taken as captives. We as Christians are oppressed by sin but thru Christ, He overcame sin for us. The captives just had to look to the Lord. The time before the captivity was very chaotic.
